We are proud to welcome Cambridge Cognition as a research collaborator in our very ambitious 365 nights of continuous sleep EEG monitoring study
The first four subjects have recently been implanted with our 24/7 EEG™ SubQ implant.
The project will explore the defining factors of sleep quality, as well as investigate the behaviorally and chronobiologically induced variation in sleep and its effect on cognition.
Sleep and epilepsy are connected; epilepsy disturbs sleep which can in turn increase frequency of epileptic seizures. We hope to enable clinicians to not only monitor the subjects EEG for the benefit of a pharmacological treatment of seizures, but also to address sleep quality for improved seizure control.
The study is a research collaboration between UNEEG™ medical, T&W Engineering , Zealand University Hospital and Cambridge Cognition.
