Why did you choose Denmark?
Basically, because I was looking for a big change in my life. At the time I was applying for the job, I was living in the Netherlands with my family. But instead of taking a somewhat smaller step and joining another company in the Netherlands, my girlfriend and I decided that it was time for a bigger change.
We used to live and work in Malmö close to Copenhagen, and I’ve always liked the Nordic way of life. So it was very attractive for us to get back to this area.
How would you describe the culture in UNEEG medical?
We have a very open culture, characterized by respect and consideration for others. We don’t have to agree on everything, but we are open-minded and listen to each other. Different points-of-view are more than welcome.
How was the recruitment process?
Since it was in the middle of the pandemic and I was living in a different country at the time, interviews were conducted online.
Still, I had a very positive impression of the people I was meeting, and I found that I could easily see myself working at UNEEG. Luckily, these feelings were confirmed when I had the chance to come to Denmark to meet everyone in person.
How was the onboarding process for you?
It was of course a little different for me to join UNEEG than it might be for other employees, because at the same time I had to move and get everything organized for a new life in Denmark. I started by working remotely from the Netherlands. Meanwhile, UNEEG helped me with relocation, and my new colleagues were very supportive and understanding of my situation. They all knew that it was not easy to relocate in the midst of a pandemic. As I look back, it was a difficult and stressful period, but all the hassle was well worth it in the end!
How is it to work in UNEEG medical?
I’m so glad to have joined an international company again – I missed working with people from different backgrounds and nationalities. I’m also happy that my work makes a difference and is appreciated. UNEEG strives to communicate the achievements we’re making in the market, and to share as much as possible about the mission we’re all part of. I certainly have no regrets in moving to Denmark and joining UNEEG medical.
